Touch Tuina Course starting in September 2010. Two available options to students wanting to learn a new type of Tuina called Touch Tuina. Most commonly Tuina has been applied in China for the treatment of arthritic like conditions. Often in cold and damp countries arthritis is misdiagnosed and infact the person is suffering from cold and damp invasion of the muslces and tendons of the body. When you examine tuina massage in comparison to other methods of massage or even chiropractic techniques you will find that some deep differences do exist. If examined from a theoretical standpoint tuina makes use of a great deal of Chinese medical theory. Practitioners of tuina will incorporate treatments designed to have a positive effect on one’s blood, energy, yin/yang, and qi (or chi). In this Tuina video you will see a demonstration of GunFa,Yi Zhi Chan, An Fa,Dian Fa,Tui Fa,Rou Fa, etc - However some of these techniques are on naked skin- which is not the way all practitioners do this. I spent alot of time looking around for information about Tuina and the techniques of Tuina in an easy to understand format. I finally found the a great DVD on amazon, and I have watched it about 30 times, its absolutely fantastic. |
